Can anyone help?
I've got a volvo penta D41L 150hp fitted to my Hardy with a VDO 02 070 009 tachometer fitted, it has stopped working. When the ignition is switched on the needle is off scale, but then falls all the way back to zero. On starting the engine, the needle quivers & then goes all the way off scale & stays there.
I have had the alternator checked & it is transmitting correctly.
Does anyone know what the fault is? Can you do anything with the VDO gauge? or is it hand in pocket time & a new gauge required?
