VDO Logic Combi - desperately seeking

I am looking for examples of VDO Logic Combi - integrated engine monitoring instrument?

These were manufactured by VDO until around 2000. Mine has a failed LCD so one with a fault on it might yield a compatible LCD. There are different versions around however - mine is c. 1995.

Not the first time of asking, but for every hoping not to have to re-engineer the steering console.

I had VDO Logic Combi instruments, the big ones about 4 x 6 inches, on my yacht. In my case they were connected as multifunction wind, log, depth etc instruments rather than engine monitoring. They both failed because the LCD screens went black. I doubt you will find any that still work OK, and if you do you cannot expect them to last very long. Its time to grasp the nettle and put in a modern multifunction instrument.

As someone who is trying to build my helm around the VDO Logic series I can tell you there is no "modern" equivalent. They seem to be the only digital multifuction instruments ever made with analogue gauges. Probably because of the costly parts required to digitally control an "analogue" dial, everything seems to use LCDs instead these days - and I much prefer analogue gauges.

Edit: For what it's worth, I have the Compass, Depth, Pilot, Pilot repeater, Combi and Combi repeater instruments in the Logic series (six instruments in total) - none of which have any issues whatsoever with the LCD displays. If anyone has any more of them they want to get rid of - send me a message!
