i have the above circa 1988. i incorrectly reversed the polarity when charging the boats battaries though i feel sure i had this problem before. THE PROBLEM. the digital readout shows --- most of the time however it occasionly shows the correct reading( i think). i have tried it in shallow safe water . no readout , no alarm ? what suggestions.thanks in advance.
