Varnish or epoxy resin?

About the same, but I will not be adding more epoxy, not needed, the timber is now well sealed.

The only reason it needs redoing is because the varnish is showing signs of wear, probably because the Bundy Rum gets put down a but hard in the puddles of water from the condensation running off the glasses, not uncommon in the tropics.

Good luck and fair winds. :)

Epoxy is ideal for surfaces that need to be hardwearing. Ideally you want 2 coats of epoxy and a couple of varnish on top as opposed to say 8 or 9 coats of just varnish.
