My mate that bought Feckless from me is selling the boat,. A Seahawk 17. (He is a copper and is moving with his job).
He's asked me how much he should ask for it.
They are great little trailer-sailers (which I have used it as. You can rig and launch in 30 minutes) and great to keep on a mooring, which I have done as well.
Now, they are popular little boats at the right price, but I don't really know what the market is at the moment.

Any ideas? It's in good nick with a 4 stroke Mariner 4hp and stout trailer in very good condition. http://www.lakelandimages.co.uk/seahawk17/.

more money and faster

He is suggesting a similar price that he paid me. Neither of us can remember what that was.
(It was complicated by the value of the mooring and the remainder of the tender landing that I sold him as well)
Whilst your idea is fairly sound, he wants a quick sale.

I feel you may need to have some laser eye surgery. http://www.lakelandimages.co.uk/seahawk17/images/01.jpg

I do hope you did not rip the copper lakey by charging him more than it was worth

as for looks

well the seahawk is marginally better than than its even uglier sister the Pedro

just an opinion of course

but let me help you by changing the £1800 in the first post to something more to your taste

please PM me if you would like me to put in a higher figure for the sake of community relations with the local constabulary

Charge more than you think - I'm in the market for a 20-22ft bilge keeler and there's nothing around - those that come up are being snapped up for asking price.... i'm south coast mind.... I would have though £8-900 with trailer and outboard is keenly priced....????

I seem to think it was about £1500 with the very excellent outboard and the trailer. (I offered him it with the 2 stroke Tohatsu of indeterminate age for about £1200 I think.) The price included a grp 8ft tender.
It's a question of people at that end of the market having the spare cash for moorings etc.

I think that is spot on

hence the £1800 now

by easter you would be down to your £1500

and I would have said that the amount of fun you could have with that little boat is worth every penny of the £1500

shame about it sitting on the huh when it is aground - although I assume you could do something creative with fenders to level it up on a snady beach

That's the sort of thing I would want as a harbour boat to potter around with when I can no longer handle SR, or the GP14, or the Laser etc. Nowhere to keep the stowaway folder tho . . .

go-on, go-on, go-on, go-on

you know you need another boat

this would be perfect

you could keep it as a reserve

a snip at £5,700

With apologies to the OP as the tread is drifting in to one on my boat search...

Onesea - I'd not come across a Tridient before so Googled and came up with this... :D

...but after I'd come to my senses I found the yacht you were referring to; at 24 foot she's a little bigger than I'd really want, but I hear what your saying, she's a good looking boat...

Howzabout a Hunter Delta 25. David Thomas design, lifting keel or bilge keel examples quite sought after, can be trailered, don't know how much they are but quite quick apparently, has a wide flatish rear and can be set up for racing! Will burn off a 30' long keeler in the article I was reading last night. The guy that tested the boat wanted to immedialtey go out and buy one he liked it so much. They do 20' models also but I'm sure you know all this already...
