Val Wyatt - Any experiences?

I have purchased three new boats and sold two boats through Val Wyatt and have found them to be professional and reliable in every transaction, especially the attention to detail and the good sound advice from Guy Girling.

So, reading in between the lines, a guy with the surname 'Baylis' appears and gets all hard, while there appears to be a female with the same surname on Val Wyatts website. :D

One can only assume Mrs Baylis's honour is being protected by Mr Baylis.

We have been contacted by users who feel that some of the comments made are a personal attack on a lady working for Val Wyatt.

I have removed the offending parts of a couple of posts after we received a number of complaints.

Please keep the discussion centred on Val Wyatt as a business and avoid personal attacks or insults aimed at their staff.

Fair comment, but as pointed out previously this all happened over a year ago and most users would not have seen the comments if the thread had not been resurrected by A.baylis.

In reflection perhaps it would have been better to have contacted the moderator without drawing further attention to the comment.

Reading between the lines, I have no doubt the Moderators acted under some kind of mild duress.

Strangely, this has been a spectacular 'own goal' for one of the Gentleman concerned, who now has all the credibility of a Nigerian Prince on Ebay....:D

I'll bet he's checking this very thread every five minutes

Are we allowed to express an opinion as customers on Val Wyatt or will your advertiser pull a favour/rank and have it pulled?

I have personally experienced poor work carried out by the resident engineer at VW, and had to have faults fixed elsewhere.

So if someone asks about a company but someone that has had dealing with them thinks one of the staff is a bit of a nutter or something like that then we have to say nothing about that and just say that they are a fine company ?
In other words only good comments or no comments at all ?

I found Guy Girling to be most helpful and obliging.

There was a lady present when I was last there in the Summer who seemed to lean rather heavily on the junior staff - scared the whatsits out of me as well !:)

If we are going to trawl over ancient ramblings ---

Looks like its Ok to say "scared the whatsits out of me" then?

Well I have had bad service from the engineer there, lets see if this posting is now pulled?
