Vacuum storage bags

Lucky then, i popped in but they didn't have any! Still came out £30 lighter again! They have food blenders that ex swmbo said are excellent.(i nicked her Bamix:p)

We've done a similar thing, used to use them and they did work but found similar problems. We've now got some from Aldi - Crane Waterproof duffle bags i think they list them under.

Used for bedding and other long term clothing stuff, which does decrease the size but the vacuum doesn't last indefinitely but it does keep them dry. I use the 12v dinghy inflator in valve with a foam insulation "tube to adapt the size. Not as good as a 240v vacuum cleaner but still works onboard enough for me.
Great. You do need to get the correct size however, as too big leaves large flat "edges"

We use these for the guest bunk quilts and pillows: it's amazing how they're reduced in size, much easier to stow. Most of ours hold the vacuum well (bought from Clas Ohlson here in Finland). Our rechargeable vacuum cleaner handles them easily.

Same leaking valve problems which were permenantly sealed with ptfe tape around threads. Much easier to compress by squeezing through gap in opening than faff around with a vacuum cleaner.

Yes and we did have success with them, no problem with the valves. The good news is when you get the air out whatever you put in is about half size so easier to store. I wouldn't buy them at Lidl you get what you pay for and I'm thinking cheap valves.
