Hope I don't live to regret this!
Just returned from 2nd boaty holiday. Southampton - St Vaast - Ouistreham/ Caen - Southampton.

Mill pond crossing to St Vaast, Bank Holiday Friday, moderate to Caen, and good start with rough finish back to Solent last Friday.

All done at around 18 kts (2,400 rpm, max 2,800), and never missed a beat.

Actually, we were towing a Princess at the time, and were not in a hurry! Didn't want to put too much strain on the P! They can be a bit delicate. Or is it just the owners?

Tops out at 28 knots.
Not bad for a Broom?
