I have found the cruelest torture known to man...

Scraping and sanding off old anti-foul.

I feel like a real sailing 'old salt' now, having spent a day underneath the boat covered in blue muck, then going back to prime it for the new fouling as well.

To make matters worse it was well into the 30's temperature-wise...

I feel like I have been ten rounds with Mike Tyson. Is this normal?

Musketeer looks great though - ready to anti-foul on Friday morning, after I tape her lines that is...

I think she is a 1971-built Musketeer. Some here at the club thought that was her name, but I think it is her type - no plate on board to confirm unfortunately, just comparing with the French owner's association website.

Do you have any technical drawings etc to confirm that?

I thought that she had a Van de Stadt look about her.
But from the previous post, I seem to recall that she was bought for the French services as a training boat.
Would the French buy something that wasn't designed by a Frenchman?

C'est normal...

I am happy to be proven otherwise (in-fact I just want to know for sure), however she is identical (apart from the lifting keep) to other Musketeers shown on the Mousquetaire Owner's website, including the build plans. To be honest, she looks like so many designs of the period.
