Does anybody know if it is possible to use a smartphone/tablet 4G connection to share internet to a Raymarine plotter, then have the plotters wifi share the internet to other laptops/phones on the boat?
I have got about half way there - my iPad is connected to 4G and then to the chart plotter by wifi, and so both E7 and iPad are connected to internet (and Raymarine apps also connect nicely to E7). The missing link is that if I connect my MacBook to E7 wifi, it does not connect to internet.
I know I can use hotspot to connect my laptop to iPad internet - but ideally I want to have everything on same wifi network as it makes apps and photos easier to sync.
