With regard to the glass reflection part. Would it work on a camera screen? I get terrible reflection on mine and cannot use it on sunny days, all i see is my own reflection. anyone tried olive oil on the screen?
You'd need to get a coating of the right refractive index between the air and glass and at the right thickness to be a quarter wavelength of the light you want to reflect (usually green at circa 555nm as that's in the middle of the visible spectrum). I don't know if olive oil meets the bill and anyway, it's going to be extremely difficult for you to get it to and maintain it at the right thickness. I'm surprised the screen didn't come with an anti-reflective coating.
