Good condition - Poor condition
Genuine reason for sale - Owner hated it
Ideal first boat - For people who don't know better
Recent engine rebuild - Still can't find that intermittant fault
Sea toilet - Use the sea

Same loving owner since new = No one else would take it off his hands.

Needs a bit of TLC = massive work and expenditure imminent

Safe Family Cruiser = Stodgy performance goes well to windward only with engine running.

Idoit speaks..

I realise that this is likely to incurr flak, but patience appreciated: Myself and a friend plan to buy a cruiser in the 44 to 50 ish ft range, to cruise the med for a year or two. I have been researching for some time to find comparisons between Jeanneau's, Bavaria's and Beneteau's models of this size, to no real avail - just a vague idea of i'm not sure what. Results aren't really clear from reviews, either, coz i've never found a bad review..... of any boat.

Please help me out with some answers regards liveability, build quality, depreciation, or even if these are the right boats to be looking at at all!! My ever-lasting thanks be with you!

2nd hand boats have less depreciation

Almost all boats will be generically ok for med crusing - given enough time to choose the weather. But this doesn't mean that the one you buy will be problem-free, cos it won't be.

Bigger boats are comfier than small ones, but more expensive.

Boats already in the med will give you an idea of the kit you need.

Boats in cheaper marinas (like spain mainland) are cheaper than boats in expensive marinas (liek france)

Massive Millennium Dome shaped blisters visible to the naked eye from 15 feet.

Ok £15k for a Nicholson 32 is cheap so there was a hint in the price!
