Useful website for calculations

Good site, some really obscure things there too... However the words "differential calculus" brought fear and trepidation, a spontaneous reaction from my college days. Never did understand those!

Calculus was my favourite aspect of maths when I was at school. Logical, with little to remember.

It was years later that I realised the usefulness of maths as a tool. I learned it by rote and that was that. It was areas under a curve, integrated neutron density curve to establish rock strength, in my job, was when it began to fall into place. I don't know if was me, the way it was taught, or a combination that was to blame for this state of affairs. I'll hedge my bets it was more me.

This site is useful: http://www.engineeringtoolbox.com/index.html

The sum of the interior angles of a triangle on the surface of a sphere add up to more than 180 degrees, but the same sum of angles of a triangle on the surface of a pringle add up to less than 180 degrees. There's a useless mathematical factoid.
