Any Formula is a good choice. Could you imagine showing Porto your 272 deep V. I'd be tempted to help you buy it just to be a fly on the wall.


 
Here in the Med sub 200k my problem is finding quality boats to sell. Everything has sold in recent years.
Upwards to that it is all very subjective.

While doom and gloom might be real for sum, I also have to add that I had the busiest Autumn since 2006.
 
Had my Hunton up for sale end 2018 for £59,999 a couple of enquires then nothing Mid 2019 dropped the price to £49,995 and sold end August,

See it is now up for sale again (with nothing being done ) for £79,999
See if it sells at that price . I very much doubt it as its a 1999 boat

Well.....£599999 was a touch keen ???
 
For UK buyers EU boats just got 20% more expensive, the market has just got a lot smaller. Unless there is a big drop off in demand I can't see things improving for buyers. A real pain for those of us with cash in the bank looking to buy!

Do you mean new boats or secondhand , or both?

NEW BREXIT RULES FOR BRITISH BOAT BUYERS
0% VAT ON BOATS BOUGHT FOR EU USE

From January 1st, British citizens who buy a boat for use in EU waters can do so with no VAT payable.

The new rule, which applies to new boats and pre-owned boats on which VAT has not been paid, means British buyers can save up to 20%! The boat can be used in EU waters for 18 months. After that period, it will need to be removed from EU waters, but could then return for a further 18 month period. The new rules apply whether it is a boat from the UK, or one that's been built or is already in the EU.


You could seek a vat not paid from an Adriatic state or Turkey and bring it back to the U.K. , then add vat = no change?
 
Nothing new with this ruling.
It is the TA (18 month temporary import rules)
Any non EU resident has always been allowed to use the 18 month TA rules.
The difference is that since Jan 1st 2021, UK residents are non-EU resident so they can now use these rules.
This only applies to a boat used in EU waters - as UK resident you have to pay VAT if you keep your boat in the UK.

So, second hand boats in the Channel Islands that haven't had VAT paid on them:-
Before Brexit, a UK resident couldn't buy a second hand boat (without VAT) in the Channel Islands and take it into EU waters without paying VAT.
Now, of course, a UK resident can buy a a second hand boat (without VAT) in the Channel Islands and take it into EU waters and use the TA 18 month rules without paying VAT.
