Bought on from visitmyharbour, small gps unit was bluetooth with a bluetooth usb receiver.
Worked well and gps unit could be placed for optimal reception.

though mine is a BU-373 and works flawlessly down below, mounted on top of the radar display. No idea of the difference between BU-353 and BU-373 ... ...

Recommendations pls

Excellent 5hz dongle from Columbus (v 800) available from a Canadian seller on Ebay for about £25 ($38) inc postage to the UK which took a week.

Not waterproof but works in my wheelhouse (steel) and is fast to fix even on a cold start. Defaults to the usual 1Hz update but a free download app allows you to change the update rate in 1hz incremenrs to 5hz and also the baud rate as well as monitor the sats.
