USA visa for crews

OK, all of this is fine. Obtain a B1/B2 if you are joining a vessel in the USA.

Which Visa applies if you are intending to sail to the USA ? Same one ?

YES!! Superyacht Leander required all crew to have one when we were floating about in that neck of the woods

Suppose you sail to the US, crew all British, all holding B1/B2...
You never know they are such an akward bunch..

Is there any restriction of choice of port of entry?

No, but like airports there are good and bad places to arrive, Generally for as maritime ports go Fort Lauderdale is the southern choice. With Newport RI being the Northern Choice. Not sure about West or south Coast.
