Has anyone used them? Met one of their instructors earlier in the week and was really impressed by his knowledge, the set up and the general attitude towards what he does.

Interesting that they have a 3:1 student to instructor ratio, which means you get your own cabin. But it also means they charge £750 for a course when others charge £399 with a maximum 4:1 which is a better number anyway.

Interesting. I've just had a quick look at two others in the Solent that I'd consider - one is 4:1 and the other who I've used successfully before, is 5:1.
Personally would say the lower the better. If I paid for the course and happened to be the only one on it I'd be delighted.

as a Day Skipper you need two crew to bring the boat alongside, helm when you are navigating, make the tea as well. With a fourth as a spare pair of hands, its ideal, five is tough .... on the instructor !!
