Sort-of-related, family holiday on Chanory Point near Inverness. Shackleton used to do dummy runs seemingly lower than the lighthouse. Exciting and noisy.It wasn't low enough to generate noticeable wind but a military jet wiggled it's wisometimes ngs in greeting at me as it flew very low along Loch Ness. So they are aware of yachts IMHO.
We kids found if we waved when they were higher up they would, (perhaps coincidentally) stop engines.
We thought if we waved REALLY hard they might stop all of them, but I dont think we ever took out more than two.
