I have a foam jigsaw to create gluing together separate sections to make a whole.
I have used an electric carving knife and a plain carving knife to produce the sections.
Both leave jagged edges. Trying to smooth them was a problem until I tried a power belt sander. Fitted with a coarse belt and applied with pressure to avoid vibration, it worked a treat.
