Just had these pictures sent to me by the chap that's fitting the carpets and new upholstery to the soon to be our Sealine F43.
I haven't actually been on board since it was done, becuase I'm in Torquay and the boat is in Southampton, but I think I can smell the leather already!
I'm like a kid waiting for Christmas!

Those cows will be a bit colder without their hides, but from the looks of it, it was well worth it. Twill be spring soon, anyway :)

Veeeery nice job pipdoc. Adds loads to the boat. (and I'm sure the bovine sacrifice produced some nice steaks too Kipper). You just need a few dozen scatter cushions now and you'll be ready for sea :-)

Thanks all. It does look good doesn't it?
I just hope the reality is as good as it looks.
Let me explain!

When we first enquired about the boat through the broker that was acting on behalf of the dealer that we're actually buying it from, I was told verbally that the boat was mint inside and out and it had just been upholstered and re-carpeted "You will not be dissapointed" I was told!
When we first viewed the boat it was an anti climax to say the least. I could have done a better job! It was terrible. Not only was it a cr%p job it was done in vinyl!

Basically we said we would walk away but the dealer said they may be able to re- do it, even though it had just been done.
Long story short, the dealer, Essex Boat Yards have been brilliant and the work was contracted to a local (Southampton) upholsterer.
We were told to pick what we wanted and EBY would pay the bill!
When the upholsterer arrived at the boat to meet me and discuss what we wanted he couldn't help laughing out loud at the dreadful quality of the work he was looking at.

See below a few" before" photo's. As you can see, the pictures below look OK but I can assure you the quality was a real let down.
So, as I said I hope the reality meets the expectations.
