By pure chance I saw this powerful and yet versatile item which I think could be the ideal finishing touch for any serious med-boaters.

JTB - you may be too far down the road with your refit to commit to this, which would be a shame. One for the future, perhaps

What is it?

A generator.

Of the towable variety. As used in road-mending. I was struck by the marine application: sometimes the simplest installations are the best.

It had just been craned into the dredger's hull. What could be simpler?

And, if you needed to fix a bit of tarmac you could just crane it out and there you go.

Are you going to tow a trailer behind the boat, in case you need to lay a bit of Tarmac on the briney?
