I've just tried to buy/update/upload the most recent version of the 28P+ charts over the internet.

The program started automatically as normal and down I down loaded the program OK.

When I ran the program (Chart Installer 4) Norton Antivirus kicked the program out and deleted it immediately.

I tried it 3 times with the same result.

Norton reports the virus "WS.Reputation.1".

I've phoned Navionic in Plymouth, but the girl I spoke to was clueless!

Has anyone else tried to update their Platinum charts recently?

I followed this up with a report to Norton.

I turns out that the file (Chart Installer 4) is relatively new and has no "reputation", so Norton Automatically stops the file from running and deletes the file from the download folder.

As a result of my report to Norton, the file has been cleared and the next "Live Updates" to Norton products will allow the file to run.

Norton's recommendation is for developers to join the "white file" program, which allows new software to be cleared before it is launched on the unsuspecting public.

Whilst I like and I'm a long term user of Navionics charts, I find their attitude difficult to comprehend and I don't understand why Navionics don't take the very simple step of clearing new software with major anti virus software companies.
