Update on Levkas Canal \"Limited Opening\"

My source now informs of the following:-

"With effect from today the canal opening hours have been reduced to:
0600, 1100, 1600, 2100 hours.
"

No further info but will keep you informed as i get more.

I will be visiting the canal myself in two weeks time. Will post photos of any visible damage.

Went to watch the 1800 hours opening the other night .took 15 minutes to get the crowd of boats through. just like the hamble mouth on a sunday evening.Repairs to the Santa Maura are under way..the Island side ramp is the problem.whilst lowering the ramp the hinge fell off!!! they were welding beams to the deck to hold the raised ramp in position. whether for transit to Pireaus or local repair remains to be seen.keep you posted
