Remember I asked about the best way to adjust the trim on my 15ft grp cuddy boat?
It has remote steering, but sitting at the controls brought the prop out of the water (it's a long leg outboard).
Sitting in the stern to control the motor brought the bow up.
Even sitting further forward it still rose out of the water.
Well, I have had success over the winter and today got some shots to show it in action.
To overcome the prop coming out of the water I cut the transom and put a 4" notch in it so that the leg sits lower in the water.
Then, depsite not wanting to add ballast I did cut some foam out of the rear buoyancy chamber and stuffed a bag of decorative aggregate in it's place. That was 25Kg.
Now this is the result. These first two shots at 5 knots which is about hull speed. Unfortunately the lovely morning sunshine went a bit dull this afternoon.
This shot a 6knot which is as fast as the motor will push it.
