Up to 50 containers lost from Napoli

According to the MCA chap on the news the ship was too deep (and I suspect much too long) for Falmouth. The reason why they headed for Portland was because it was more down wind, and with a ship threatening to snap in half you really want to give it the softest journey possible.

Isnt Falmouth deeper and nearer than Portland and there is always Portland race to consider? I think the whole plan smells a bit fishy.

Have you read any of the previous comments to your questions on this point?

You seem to be asking the same question over and over, and looking for someone to agree with your conspiracy theory

Waht do you plan to do with it in Falmouth ?

Longest dry dock is only 252 metre, with around 8 metre channel at high water, Carrick Roads would not have width / depth and has twisty entrance chanel between rocks. You are then left with the bay which means coming in from the Manacles to avoid the Old Wall. That would give you around 18 metre at low water, at stern and 10 at bow, not very level.

Sorry too big for Falmouth, then add the list, not good.
