Looks like the Upper Thames MYC has rich new neighbours. The house Clooney has rumoured to have purchased share the Creek with them.

Is it the House on the island behind the Mill? Considering what else is available on the river it seems like an odd choice, terrible traffic and all.

Problem is for us film stars is security. Michael Caine always loved Ashmount but it is far too open for him. If Ashmount was more 'discrete' I'd have super stars banging on my door to buy. There are plenty of properties for sale but few that tick the security box.

The one Caine bought didn't have any real river frontage though, he'd have been better off with Ashmount. Clooney seems to have too much waterside, I don't think he'll stay there long once the boaters start hanging off his trees!

The Sonning lock keeper was interviewed on the BBC South news & asked how GC could get over the horrendous current traffic problems; helicopter being his answer.
