Unusual Size Hose...

Hi,

I'm wanting to replace some flexi hose between two 28mm copper pipe sections but can only find the hose I need with 25mm or 35mm bore. I've googled this one to death looking for a UK supplier to no avail - So just wondering if anyone here knows any UK suppliers that carry fire resistant hose with a 28mm bore.

The relevant part of the MGN 280 is here:

Flexible or non-metallic piping, which presents a risk of flooding, fitted in an engine space or
fire risk area should be efficiently insulated against fire, or be of fire resistant material, e.g.
ISO Standard 7840 or exhaust quality rubber hosing, or a means should be provided to stop
the ingress of water in the event of the pipe being damaged, operable from outside the space.

you could try http://www.hyphose.co.uk or failing that consider soldering a 28mm female socket to the existing pipes, that'll up the diameter enough to use 30mm or maybe 32mm.

Vetus do 30mm exhaust hose I think.

ASAP Supplies do a Heater Hose of 28mm diameter - part no 206426 but I don't think it's ISO 7840 Failing that they also do an Exhaust Hose of 30mm diameter which should be OK with two 'Super Clamps'(heavy duty clamps) on each end - also from ASAP. Call them on 08451300870.
