You should see the locker space on our Jeanneau, it is truly ginormous even without the 2nd stern double cabin that was converted to stowage and is known as the 'shed'. We looked at lots of boats from new to old and incluiding some of the HRs and lookalikes and found the lack of locker stowage a problem, especially cockpit/deck lockers on centre cockpit boats. I look at what is in ours and wonder where it would all go if there was only one locker/lazarette.

You never know if a post is a wind up or not!

I take your point about the locker size on your Jeanneau (correct spelling this time). Its all about clever use of space available. What I was trying to get accross is the fact that so many boats on the market are built to give them a 'BIG' feel in the cabin, the two examples I used are a good comparisons. ETAP have the space and the foam.

Yes very true about some of the modern designs. We looked at a Dufour 41 with one of the galley one side, central bench type interiors. It had seemingly lots of space and lots of lockers but on opening doors there was little space behind them, like a hanging locker so narrow hangers would need to go fore/aft.

Re: A boat sink under you

You have room in Indigo's galley for that? Impressive! /forums/images/icons/smile.gif
