Unreliable Mastervolt generator

Is there anyone else out there having trouble with a Mastervolt generator?
I had a Mastervolt Whisper 3500, 3000rpm generator fitted last November. Since then it has run just 300 hours and failed more than 100 times. Mostly for overheating and low voltage. It has been looked at by every one of their agents from Trinidad to St Martin yet still proves unreliable. At the time of writing I am waiting on yet another service agent.

Does it have the faryman deisel? Raw water cooled or fresh water with heat exchanger. A lot of the small gennys are raw water cooled and are a problem, same as my fisher panda was.

Its a Kubota engine and its valve clearances keep going out. Raw water cooling the engine oil via an intercooler. Never has been able to produce its specified output.

My Fischer Panda has a Kobota and never misses a beat or overheats.
