A lot of unoccupied half tide moorings this year. Is this the end of an era - or an opportunity for the next generation?

Perhaps you could say where. Most marinas supply deep water moorings with approx 2 meters at low water, It is usually clubs that have half tide moorings to suit bilge or lifting keel boats.

There's a significant waiting list for moorings at my club, though there are a number of empty commercial moorings nearby, though that could be because word's got around that one of the companies managing them has been skimping on maintenance, and a few boats have ended up on the "beach" as a result.

My perception is that the Conservancy owned moorings in Chichester Harbour (deep water and half tide) are fuller this year than they have been previously.. our club ones are fully occupied and they're all half tide... end of an era coming, but not here yet?
