Uno has worked well for the last few years. I'm wondering what is the difference between the old and new versions? I suspect that if the EU version has been introduced to meet EU regulations then it may not work as well. Has anyone used both?

I've just launched with UNO EU but its too soon to tell...if its as effective as any thing else associated with the EU I'd be surprised if its any good!

Seriously, I doubt there will be any difference in performance.

The EU versions are new this year so too early to know how they will perform. Applies to most, if not all, of International AFs ... I think you will find that the biocide(s) previously added as boosters have been dropped, presumably to satisfy the latest EU regs. Copper oxide contents are higher.

Presumably other makes with biocide boosters are similarly affected

There was a question a few weeks ago on here about it... looked up some facts then... forgotten much of the detail now though

I posted about this a few months ago. I have half a tin of uno from last year I will try one side of the keel with this and one with the eu version and see if any difference.

On a different note fantastic service from marine super store @£59.95 for 3l I bought 2 so no postage charge came within 24 hours.

Thanks for the replies. I've ordered some old Cruiser Uno and may change to the new stuff next time. Will probably ask your opinions then!

This will be my last season with erodible anti fouling - I'm going to copper coat her next autumn.

You will probably have to change to the new stuff next time as all stocks of the old stuff will be exhausted. I think you may find that stocks of some colours are already sold out.
