Unknown sailing dinghy?

I think it may be a Javelin Dinghy ..Uffa Fox design.

The sail symbol is a circle with an arrow pointing inwards.

If you Google Javelin Dinghy you will find a few results...there is also a more modern NZ skiff type thing not to be confused with.

Apologies for the -ve post, but it's definitely none of the above! Too small & wrong shape for Bosun, Kestrel Swordfish
or Wineglass. Graduate is hard chine.

Mike

PS - too small to be a Javelin too.

This board is very active compared to the others ive posted on. To the questions posed earlier i do not have any sails at the moment. And im ahppy to say i think she is a Marlin. And i have a link which shows picture and simple description at last. Im pretty sure this is what she is.

Im now after as much information as i can get on this type of boat so if anyone come across any please let me Know.
I appreciate all the comments. Thanks

It isn't a Kestrel. I was Scottish Champion many years ago in No 871

[/ QUOTE ] I agree with you. The picture on the web site

is not the best in the world but every thing looks right and the dimensions seem right as well

Whatever else, she looks to be a bu33er on the thighs! Surprised a boat with such a small sitting-out surface was successful enough to have a following. May be misleading pics....

what about the oppie and mirror - inch wide decks for hiking out on - and they are two of the most successful dinghies ever!

Side decks look about as wide as an RS200 - currently the most popular 2 handed boat in the UK racing seen and they're actually very comfy to hike on.

Hi, I can confirm that your boat is a Marlin, I aquired one a little while ago and it is due to be relaunched this weekend. I have some tech info which I will pass to you in due course. Portsmouth Yardstick 97 can carry a spinnaker too! My serial number is 22, I have a photo of 25. There is another one which is used as a club boat at the Skye Sailing club. My sails are shot so i am looking for a second hand pair from another class that may do. Oncew I have the data back to hand I will send it to you
