Union Jack on small boats

Why???
I couldn't fly the Union Jack, I haven't got a "Jack Staff".
Why would anyone want to fly the Union Flag?

Surely the more petitions on the No 10 website, the less likely they are to take any notice, best not to fill it up with trivia.

You didn't write that awful song about a melting pot did you?

[/ QUOTE ] Thort that was Roger Greenaway?

I'm not sure "awful" is a fair description.

"Execrable" would be the word I'd chose. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I thinks I may start a petition on the 10 Downing St web to stop people starting daft petitions! Anyone prepared to sign?

Just had a look at the petition. You've convinced two other people in the UK so far.....keep going only a million ot two more and you might get a bulk mail reply from TB.

In fairness I think you've got the general drift of opinion regarding this and I must say agree totally with those opinions. Still, be a boring old world if we all thought alike wouldn't it? Don't take it personallly. (Unless this is, in fact a troll, in which case.........)

Can't get it any clearer so make your own mind up /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

If the petition doesn't work, I reckon you could probably persuade the multi-oxymoronic Socialist Worker Student Society to march for it.

I have a vague recollection that there is a genuine, existing etiquette associted with flying the Union Flag from the masthead. It has a simple, unequivocal meaning: that being that you have the Queen on board.

.

I've looked at it from across the room and I see what it is clearly now.

Nice arse. Good for a back-scuttle. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
