Underwater paint application.

I want to just change the aesthetic look of the base of my boats hull in the water..ie painting it white after I have cleaned off all the weed etc. I am on the verge of ordering some of this, but just holding back to see if there are other under water paint applications from those who might know? what an odd thing to do. Assume you do not need antifouling, in which case better to haul the boat, clean it, apply a primer and coat with normal gloss paint.

It does not seem to say in the blurb what it won't adhere to so I guess you are taking a gamble that you can actually apply it to whatever is currently on your hull.

Hauling the boat isn't an option, doesn't need antifoul. It's just an aesthetic thing. She just looks ratty a few inches above the water line and therefore I want to just tidy her up at a small cost.

It looks like filthy stuff to use, and the end results shown in the video were very uneven. If they can't achieve a decent finish in their own promotional video, I'm not sure what an amateur application would look like. OK for piling or jetties, perhaps, but I wouldn't want to use it on a boat.

I'll do a pre paint pic, and then a post paint pic. We'll be able to see then. I'm going to give it a try.

I trust OP has given the top sides a dose of Oxalic acid. If not this may just bring it up to a decent standard. olewill
