You sure about this, I would have thought, for this job, a filler that went "off" and hardened quickly, better than a sealer that remains flexible
Unless the holes are big, don't worry about it. The sealer will fill them and no water will get near. Belt and braces you might clean the area and apply a coat of epoxy , but I suspect you will find that the hole in the hull is just bare GRP. If the chips are outside the area of the sealer then an epoxy filler would be the correct one to use and then antifoul over it.I've removed a blakes seacock and some of the gel coat has come away - i want to make it flush for when i replace - thanks

May I ask for clarification? Do you mean "below the waterline" when dried-out ashore, or below waterline when actually "under water"?
