Under £10k good beginner boat - need some help!!!

Thanks for all the advice guys. Will look into some other boats but wanted to know about this one as it is in my local boat yard.

Always been keen on the Regal (can't remember exact model) so will have to look into them as well.

If you had under £10k to spend on a boat what would you buy???

Dave, couple of questions the forum will need, where are you and what do you intend to use the boat for?

Pete

Thanks Fly_By_II will look into them!

I live on the Dorset Coast (near Poole) and am looking for something fun and easy to run for a day boat to the beach and fishing.

Is it best to go for petrol or diesel? I heard that red diesel is being scrapped!!

[/ QUOTE ] Oh no, shouldn't have asked that, you will have 5 pages of posts now /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif In the range your looking for, your going to get a lot boat and performance from petrol, fill it up at Tescos for 85ppl on the way or carry a couple of cans. Some care when handling the fuel and regular checks of fuel lines and tanks will reduce the risk and ensure a safe boat. Boatshed have a series of boats for sale around the 10k mark and do lots of photos as you have seen, worth having a good look. Let us know if you find something interesting, we are a nosey lot on here /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Think you have done well 449 views on a post about importing a boat by Global Trade Partners cleverly disguised as a question about SeaRays!!!

I am impressed!!

PS I do expect the reply to say I don’t understand what you are saying!!

"Yes, the sea can change very quickly, but more than that, it depends on the way that your going. Try going out a mile or so, then do a circle, see what it's like in each direction. What seemed dead flat, maybe untennable the othere way."

Sounds like you're advocating if its fine one way, keep going that way (is that New York over there?) Bit like aeroplanes and airport charges - its free for take-offs but don't bother with landings 'cos we'll charge you so just keep taking off!

Out of interest, and I know I might be opening a can of worms here, but how long do people think that red diesel will remain for?

I am looking at a diesel boat that seems interesting however do not know a lot about red diesel!!
