Unblocking Outboard Carb Jets?

Ok gentlemen we have a win! I took out the jet as advised and used a single strand of brass wire from a little brass wire brush I had. Pushed out two or three visible bits of grit or dirt. Outboard now running beautifully!

But even better is Vic's solution. I also have a card from the 1950's with coils of 5A, 10A, 15A and 20A fuse wire .... so a thickness of wire for every possible situation.

I use a small set of cleaning wires, they go from very small gauge to 0.2mm for cleaning welding torch tips. Come in a small metal holder
