Not boaty, but relative to the forum.
I can no longer open attachments, in particular the photos people post of things in their posts.
I have been able to open them in the past on my old machine, but can't remember if I have been able to on this computer, new in Dec 2014.
The thumbnail images are in their posts, but when I click on the image to enlarge, my screen goes dark and all I see is the original post behind the darkness (if that makes sense?)
Laptop is an i7 Acer running Win8 64 bit OS, 8Gb RAM, so handles everything thrown at it.
Is there a setting I need to alter on the webpage to allow viewing of attachments? If so, I haven't yet found it.

I might try using Firefox to read the forum.

Can't promise it'll work, but worth a go.

I'm having to use Firefox for these forums, as my IE9 doesn't seem to work on them any more. I found with thumbnail attachments that it was best to right-click on them and open them in a new tab.

In IE try running the site in compatibility mode:

To add a site to the Compatibility View list

  • Open the desktop, and then tap or click the Internet Explorer icon on the taskbar.
  • Tap or click the Tools button Tools, then tap or click Compatibility View settings.
  • Under Add this website, enter the URL of the site you want to add to the list, then tap or click Add.

OR go get Chrome and everything will suddenly work everywhere :)

For those on tablet, try a different browser - I would suggest Dolphin for Android - V good, or Firefox Beta (all free and available on the Google store)

Same here IE 11 on Winows 7 Enterprise.

I'm willing to bet it's images stored on photo bucket that you are having trouble with.

I use Opera as my web browser and had similar problems but found a solution that just needed some tweaks to the advances settings in Opera.

Photo Bucket seem to be doing something strange. What can be so hard about hosting and displaying photo's that they have to cause so many problems?

I don't know that Photobucket are the cause of OP's problems, but Photobucket are far too addicted to their ad revenue - the way they refuse to ever serve a plain image.jpg drives me batty.

Far better using http://imgur.com when you want to post images to a forum like this.
