The 280T was/is a rare'ish beast in as much as it has Power trim. The 280 only has a powered tilt mech with a leccy motor. Thr PTT on thre T is hydraulically operated.

Baz, my main reason for asking, was I have a manual for a 280 onboard here and couldn't see a sign of this hole oldgit was on about.

280T has a pair of rams to trim/tilt and raise leg.In the lower of the two bellows there is a tiny drain hole, which can betray its presence by a dribble of water coming out.A real worry until you are aware it is the exhaust bellows.
Have just spent all day in gale type wind painting barrier undercoat on both legs,so that I can apply new antifouling sometime during next week.
Found radiator brush ideal to get into my little princess 33 nooks and crannys on her legs./forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

Simple test for water getting into oil is take a small sample of oil wait till wifey goes out, heat a dry frying pan till hot drip oil into pan if it goes sizzle sizzle and spits at you water is getting into your oil. Hide all the evidence and dont eat fried eggs for a while.

Oooh Ta..another way to stink out the wifes room "the kitchen" and get myself into trouble.
Todays job included smearing some super duper outrageously expensive white antifouling onto the legs. 15.00 quid appears to buy you something about the size of a vaseline jar and you need two coats per lump of aluminium.
