Ultrasonic cleaning

We have been researching hull cleaning. A no. of people have mentioned ultrasonic brushes, does anyone know more information about this method?

Sure you don't mean ultasonic antifouling?

My dentist recommends the Phillips ultrasound electric toothbrush.
But I haven't tried cleaning my boat with it - it's too small.

There's potential for a healthy business in the field, I would think. Large ultrasonic units exist and I remember many years ago looking into the possibilities of cleaning compressor rotors with them. It shouldn't be too difficult to build a tank that could be lowered to allow a boat to enter, then raise and turn on the ultrasonics for a perfect hull clean.This company says that the units can be made virtually any size.
