Bought some Powerfix drills about 3 months ago and have used them on stainless with no problems. The present offer costs £9.99, and includes a comprehensive set of mm drills, hispeed, wood working and masonry. In addition a hole cutting set, a complete set of double length and single length screwdrivers bits with rachet screwdrivers, sundry drills with countersink, counter sink drill, set of depth gauges, set of wood auger bits and bizarely a spirit level.. all packed in a nice plastic case which would be splash resistant and at that price wont be there long

Ok for 1 or 2 jobs but you pay your money and take your choice

I'm not knocking the deal - as it is well known - I buy cheap chinese stuff normally !!
But doing my furling gear few weeks back ... I went through chinese drills like no tomorrow ... and still didn't get old rivets out or new holes made. Went to DIY place and spoke with young lass there ... and she just picked up a drill and held it in front of me ... Looked same .... but then she pointed at price. I could buy 2 sets of cheapo for same as that one 5mm drill. Anyway - took her advise and paid ... boy did that hurt ! ... nearly 3 quid for a single 5mm drill bit.
Got home and put in drill ... 5 mins later all holes drilled, old rivets out .... ready to receive new rivets. That drill is now carefully stowed away for future use !! Condition of drill after ... unmarked, sharp as ever - unlike the normal cheapo's I buy !!
