Maybe some match-racing in the Solent? They're too fragile for outside....

:D

What does "ninety feet square" mean?

Does it mean 90 square feet or the area of a ninety foot square, i.e. 8100 square feet?

I think you'll find they're too fragile for match racing in the solent too. Thats why they're going to the Middle east to find a venue with little enough wind.

Not that it needs wind. 18 knots upwind with barely 10 knots of true or 27 knots with 15 knots true at the mast head.

Now I don't like the way the AC has gone lately, but I'll give them this race. Those two boats are awesome and will provide a big leap in yacht design not to mention be a fascinating showdown. Lets hope after it's done everything can settle down again and go back to how it should be.
