UK to Ireland transport

Hi all,
Any suggestions on transporting a 38ft x 4.3mts beam fairline motor cruiser.
Want to move it from south coast England to ideally lough Erne in fermanagh, Northern ireland.

Looking guideline prices for
lift on in England,
Land transport across England.
Ferry charges.
OR,,,
The option of sailing it home,
Sailing time from South England to irish coast,

Opinions on whether to sail it across to irish coast and land transport it the rest.
Or land transport the whole journey.
Or sail the whole journey, I don't think it will fit the canal from Dublin to the Shannon, or enter in from limerick, but that sounds like a long journey.

Any feedback much appreciated.
Also I can get a local irish sea skipper from Donegal.

Sail it around, it doesn't have to be done in one hit. It will take some careful coordination and quite a few phone calls but it should be a great expedition.

Coast to Coast is who you need. Used them a couple of weeks ago to move the boat from the South Coast to Surrey. Camly professional. Email them they wil probably quote within 24 hours. Moving boats is what they do, especially between countries. You need to also pay for a lift both ends. Which varies in cost by the marina.
That a long trip by sea, even to get to Ireland. Get bad weather and you could be stuck in a harbour for days on end.

Hi, have a neptunus 106, but thinking of a change to a fairline 36 turbo,
Can't get them at any decent price here.

Plenty of specialists who can do the job. Google boat Transport Southampton Belfast and you will be able to get on line quotes within 24 hours.

I presume you have seen the one for sale on Belfast Lough? If you are bringing it to Northern Ireland then you are fine but if you are bringing it south you will have to pay VAT and possibly duty.
I used Coast 2 Coast to bring my boat back to Ireland from Spain and they were great.

At 14 feet wide that is an abnormal load requiring additional staff and police permits in the UK. Nothing particularly unusual in that. However putting it on a ferry will not be cheap, as the haulier will have to pay for two lanes of parking on board.

I used John Kennedy and he was great. Does trips to the mainland too. Very professional and flexible. Spent the night before my move in his cab so he could fit in with my schedule.

Yea seen it, class finished boat but bit over priced for me.
Was it a big cost from Spain?

Be prepared for quotes including lifts and preparation of well over £5k, probably nearer £10k. If the boat is in good nick to do the trip by sea you may well find cost of professional delivery not too different and you could combine it with a holiday as crew. Good way to get to know the boat.

Around €11k from near Barcelona but it cost another €2.5k between lift out and storage and lift onto trailer in Spain and then lift off trailer and launch back home

That strikes me as Med to U.K. prices. Mainland U.K. to N.Ireland is nothing like that - done it one or two times with work boats and it was sub-£2k for the transport. Granted it was pre-Covid and prices have increased but not to that extent.

Sea trip may well be notably more expensive given fuel costs but agree that it would be a great experience and a good way to get to know the boat.
