So you want to get to Brittainy and you have to go by car, because the two boats you want to see in France are 60 miles apart. Starting the journey by driving 75 miles in the opposite direction on the M25 via the Dartford crossing, paying ££££ for the airport carpark plus the air fare and then hiring car/taxi at other end does not bear thinking about.
First thoughts were to go from, say Weymouth and do most on the journey on the ferry but the drive to Weymouth is miles, its bloody expensive and worse it takes ages and sails at completely the wrong times. So that leaves Dover, loads of cheap sailings but O god that long journey south.
Have also tried all the combinations in between such as Newhaven etc.
Arrgh......its looking like Dover at the moment !
Any suggestions
