Trying to find moorings (without taking out a mortgage in some cases) for a 48ft Houseboat ex steam launch with no engine. East coast or south west coast Any helpful suggestions would be greatly received TIA

The more detail you can give the better the ideas and advice you will get. Are you a family or a single hander?
Where is the boat now and without engine how do you plan to move it?
By mooring, do you mean anchoring off, on a pontoon, in or out of a marina or on a river bank?

Just 2 old farts!
It would be in a marina (sorry didn't explain myself) so I guess a pontoon.
I've rang several marinas south coast but a lot are either ridiculously priced or have no room for that size

Think you may find the East Coast (Thames to Harwich) more accommodating. Where river moorings could be an option and much more affordable.
