UK DWP to start monitoring bank accounts

Why not pay the tax you, should . I bet you fly to uk for nhs treatment.etc.
Out of curiosity if you have paid UK tax all your working life (in my case 52yrs) and then need to use the NHS what is the difference to the NHS in cost if your house is in the UK or an other EU country.

In our case the Brexit agreement entitles Portuguese people residing in UK to get free NHS treatment and we are entitled to free Portuguse Health system treatment but for some issues I am aware that many return to the UK due to language difficulties.

NH care entitlement can be a minefield and entitlement varies depending on age and whether working or retired and of course any international agreements. Generally, treatment should be provided by country where resident and in our case we're resident in two countries but only tax payers in one. Although our NH Wales GP knows we're away for extended periods, no problems with prescriptions for up to 6 months but, I've heard of folks elsewhere being cut off by GP and NHS.
