Hi,
Does anyone have successful experience of using a Bullet wi-fi booster and the Unlocator DNS? I'm in the med and like to watch UK TV using Unlocator, which works fine when my internet connects via my Mi-Fi device, but fails when I'm connecting to a marina wi-fi via a Ubiquiti Bullet M2. I know my PC (windows 10) is set-up OK so it must be something about the Bullet's settings. Unlocator say they don't support Ubiquiti devices but I've read postings elsewhere implying that Bullet owners are using the Unlocator service. Anyone shed some light for me?

You probably access the Mifi via Wifi (we live in a time of terribly named technologies), while accessing the Bullet via wired Ethernet. So you need to set the Unlocator DNS servers in your Windows network interface settings for the wired Ethernet as well. Sounds like you've set them for the Wifi interface but not the other one.

Thanks for responding, but I wish it were that simple. I access the Bullet via a different wi-fi router (a TP Link Archer) which is connected to the Bullet by ethernet. The TP link router seems to have the correct DNS settings, which is why I suspect the Bullet. When connected to the internet via the Archer/Bullet system, windows reports the DNS settings are "correct" per the Unlocator instructions, but when using their settings test I get a fail on the first item "DNS setup".

Hmm, that's odd. The Bullet has a DNS Proxy setting, maybe that is transparently proxying your requests. If you uncheck it, you can set the DNS servers in your Bullet. It's in the Network tab, under LAN Network settings, and you may have to switch Configuration Mode to Advanced to see it (at the top). Then uncheck DNS Proxy and enter Primary and Secondary DNS servers, Save and renew your DHCP lease (or just reboot your computer).

Thanks again. I thought you'd cracked it as I'd not spotted those settings before. However something strange happened and I've lost all connectivity between the bullet and the archer so I'm back to using the mi-fi until I can work out what went wrong...
