Hi gang,

The Trader bathing platform (1" thick teak) is entirely exposed with zero protection. (I'm looking for a profile to protect the edge but I have to admit my search isn't coming up with too much). My idea is some form of U / C section rubber that will cover the edge but will consider other options, other than draping little fenders all over the place.

So any canny ideas would be appreciated.

cheers....

Have you tried Marine Fendering - Wilks Marine Fendering

I used Wilks many years ago for the gunnel strip on my Norman 18, where I dealt with the factory direct in Tollesbury (if my memory serves me right). I did have a look at their current stuff but nothing immediately sprung to mind. I'll take another look though.

Says in the original post Needs to cover 1" (25mm) teak. Front to back size can be anything presentable. Something up to around 50mm ish.. Very ish..
And length needs to be around 7-8m to cover width of bathing platform plus depth both sides..

Da daaa

Just purchased 6 metres of white 50mm rubbing strake from eBay at a very sensible price postage. FOC.
If you express an interest and wait a day or two they will offer a discount to encourage you to buy

Have used Wilks in the past but their prices have increased considerably and they did charge P&P on my last order some time ago.
Wilks appear to major on commercial fendering, Souq offer a wider range of colours if that is of any interest.
Search for rubbing strake on Ebay.

That's great.. Thanks very much.. I remember Wilks from about 25 years ago so methinks things have changed quite a bit since then...

Hi Guys.. A bit of a thread resurrection here but I'm back to looking at the bathing platform protection again, after a bit of a distracting few months..
Here is a pic of the platform, so I wonder what people think on the protection side, seeing the pic..
Platform depth is 25mm

Thanks as always.
