I'm only in my 3rd year of boat ownership and never having been a home owner had not acquired decorating skills. First time I did priming and antifouling the blokes in the yard said "here, use this" so I never considered the felt vs. mohair vs foam choice. Now I'm on my own. For non-solvent based epoxy coating the rudder, foam seemed to work well. Felt from a decorating shop left bits (despite having done the duct-tape thing first) but more expensive felt from the chandlers gave a good finish.
So a question old hands will think is stupid but...what roller for what type of paint and why? epoxy coating...primer...antifoul...I guess mohair is the popular choice for the latter
