I had no problems with my hearing aids when using professional headphones that completely cover the ears. When sailing I remove my hearing aids, the wind noise is too bad, even when I adjust them.

Interesting. I don't have a wind noise problem with my hearing aids when sailing , at least not very often. But I often use Stenheiser headphones when listening to TV....if I leave hearing aids in the headphones knock off the hearing aid settings and give an annoying buzz, if I take the hearing aids out and just have the headphones I tend to like the subtitles too ...... plus annoying if my wife wants to talk....heaphones off and hearing aids in .....right old pain switching about. Don't want to replicate these problems with alleged marriage saver headphones

I'm interested in saving my marriage so these seem a good idea. However I use hearing aids and wonder if anyone takes hearing aids out prior to donning headphones, or uses the bone conductor headphones as they work better than conventional headphones (I have no idea)? I tried a phone call with my wife with us both using ear pods (ear pieces you stick in your ear after hearing aids removed) and she could hear me fine but I was struggling.

My friend uses hearing aids and tried my headphones. The next day he bought a set. He doesn’t take his hearing aids out.

Cheers, the thread has given me enough encouragement to go and try some headphones, but first step is hopefully the Shockz bone conducting type. We are not regularly marina goers and the first real step will be her on the helm having the confidence to drive in a marina.....pontoon bashing practice coming, but I can see headphones being so useful. She loves her pods so see how things go. I love my NHS hearing aids (but they ain't blue tooth which would be very cool). Technology options are incredible, but all at a cost. )
